What is Cornerstone?

Cornerstone is a truly unique retreat program that offers its parishioners 24 hours that will change their lives. Guaranteed!

In a warm, welcoming and intimate setting - free of the distractions of everyday life - participants can strengthen and grow in their spirituality and faith.  By literally “stopping the world” for this period of time, youʼll reflect on your own life with others.  Cornerstone is a very personal, once-in-a-lifetime experience.  No one attends twice.  It is funded through the donations of itʼs participants (a $75 offering is suggested to cover your meals, accommodations, and materials).  Gift Certificates are now available.  Please contact Maria Ginart at 973-633-7662 to place your order.

Who conducts Cornerstone?  What Can I expect?

A team of women who have previously experienced Cornerstone has worked this past year to plan this special weekend.  Each member lends his or her talents and faith, whether by relating a life experience in a presentation, leading a small group discussion, planning a liturgy, preparing a meal or even cooking up a surprise.  Together, the team is dedicated to creating a warm and hospitable atmosphere for everyone.

Cornerstone activities begin with registration Friday evening at 6:30pm, and concludes with Mass on Saturday at 7:00 pm.  Your overnight stay includes lodging and meals at OLV.  There will be presentations, small group discussions, opportunities for personal reflection, reconciliation service, and Mass.  There will also be time to socialize with others who are sharing the Cornerstone experience with you - some you will know and others you will get to know.  After your weekend with us, you will undoubtedly feel closer to God, your faith, and your community.  Your every need will be taken care of by the Cornerstone team.  And donʼt hesitate to tell us how we can help with any special needs you may have.
