ADORATION CHAPEL AdorationChapel@olvwayne.org
BEATRICE PUCELLA (973) 942-2032
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is scheduled 6AM to Midnight, Monday through Friday and 7AM to Noon on Saturday. Parishioners commit themselves to spend a specific hour each week before the Blessed Sacrament exposed for adoration. These scheduled adorers ensure that Jesus in the Eucharist is never left without someone in prayer. Private prayer, reading of the Bible or just sitting and relaxing in the Eucharist's Presence are some ways to nourish spiritual life. For those who cannot commit to a particular hour, substitutes are always needed and drop-ins to the chapel are always welcome.
According to the liturgical teaching of the RC Church, the ultimate form of prayer and the highest form of praise is to celebrate the Eucharist as a community of faith around the altar. Eucharistic adoration itself derives from and points to the celebration of the Liturgy. Therefore we encourage participants in adoration to join the congregation in Church during our scheduled daily Mass. [see also www.therealpresence.org ]
