The Knights are a fraternal organization, dedicated to serving the needs of the parish, the unborn, the poor, the elderly, the youth, and the community either directly, or in an assisting capacity. Originally organized in the late 1800’s to help care for the needs of widows, it has grown to become a worldwide Catholic men’s service organization, with the greatest emphasis aimed at supporting our Priests, Bishops, and our Holy Father, the Pope.

The ministry to the sick serves others by bringing The Eucharist to both parishioners and families of those homebound or hospitalized. Those called to this ministry bring their gifts of presence, listening and compassion to their brothers and sisters in Christ.

This ministry unites parishioners that are interested in creating knitted or crocheted shawls for people who are experiencing times of difficulty. It began when two women reached out to comfort those in need with prayers and blessings in the form of a prayer shawl. All materials are provided and you can knit or crochet at home at your own pace. Always there to serve at each of their assigned Sunday Liturgies, the ushers are encouraged to greet warmly, seat comfortably and attend any needs of the assembly. Volunteers, men and women, from 16 years of age and up, are always a welcome addition to this ministry.

Our Music Ministry consists of an adult choir, children’s choir, instrumentalists and leaders of song that facilitate and encourage every member of the congregation to celebrate the Liturgy as a faith community. St. Augustine wrote: “He, who sings, prays twice.”

By far the biggest volunteer enterprise in the parish, over 450 parishioners pitch in each spring, to provide a week of family entertainment for all their neighbors. Each year the event is so successful that it nets up to $100,000 for the parish. Don’t miss the fun; volunteer to spend one evening working the Festival or even serve on one of its organizing committees.

A group of 10 parishioners that functions as an advisory planning board to the Pastor and the Pastoral Staff. Topics, ideas, concerns or problems can come from any source. Council members strive to provide new insights, ideas and a parish perspective to the topics being discussed. Their role is strictly planning and not implementation.

A two session workshop and discussion led by married couples for couples that are engaged in order to prepare them for the vocation and lifestyle of marriage. Experiences of the married couples, discussion, video presentations and prayer make up the format of each of the two four-hour sessions. It is a richly rewarding experience for the married and engaged couples.

This group meets in response to Mary’s request for prayer to gain peace in our hearts, in our families and throughout the world, and especially through the Rosary and increased devotion to Jesus in the Eucharist. Meetings take place at the church on Wednesday evenings for Eucharistic adoration, Marian prayers and the Rosary.

A process for preparing adults for initiation into the sacramental life of the Roman Catholic Church. RCIA is the total formation of an adult into a believing, living, praying and serving member of our Catholic community. This gradual development occurs over a 7-month time span, starting in September and culminating in the celebration of the initiation with the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the Easter Vigil.

Preservation of human life is what this committee represents. It is opposed to abortion and euthanasia. Upon request the committee will provide educational material, guidance and professional referrals. It also supports Right to Life organizations run by the county and state.
