What is Cornerstone?

Cornerstone is a truly unique experience that offers you an opportunity to strengthen and grow in your spirituality and faith. Guaranteed!!

In a warm and friendly setting, you’ll gather with other OLV men for a time of personal reflection, listening, sharing, bonding and growth.  “Stopping the world” for 27 hours and free from the distractions of everyday life, you’ll find new ways to experience Parish, family, community, friendship and brotherhood.

Who Conducts Cornerstone? 

Cornerstone is conducted by a team of men who have gone through the experience before.  They’re fathers … sons … brothers … grandfathers … employees … executives … students … professionals … tradesmen – in other words, they’re just like you.  They’ve spent the past year planning this special weekend and are dedicated to creating a warm, hospitable and protected atmosphere for all who attend.  (Think “Vegas”, without the slots – “What’s said in Cornerstone stays in Cornerstone!”)

What Can I Expect?

Cornerstone activities begin with registration and dinner on Friday, March 12^th at 7pm and conclude after Mass on Saturday evening, March 13^th at around 9pm.  All meals are included along with your optional overnight stay at OLV (we’ve found those who remain onsite for the entire weekend have come away with the most complete experience, but you are not obliged to stay if you have special needs or situations that will keep you from staying overnight).

There will be time to socialize with others. To talk. To share … if that’s what you feel like doing.  To listen to the stories of other men and how they’ve experienced Christ’s presence in their own lives.  And plenty of other activities that are best experienced “first-hand.”  No pressure – no judgment – no worry. Your every need will be taken care of by the Cornerstone team … and please don’t hesitate to tell us how we can help with any special needs you may have.

Is There a Fee to Attend?

No.  There is no mandatory cost to attend.  We do ask for a donation, and the typical donation is $75, which covers your meals and other incidental costs of the weekend.  But it’s not a requirement … we’d hate for anyone to stay away simply because of affordability!  (Hopefully you’ll find the weekend to be “priceless” in more ways than one!)  Checks may be made out of Our Lady of the Valley, Men’s Cornerstone.
