Parish Census

June, 2011

Dear Member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish Family:

This year our faith community of Our Lady of the Valley celebrates its 50th Anniversary as the official canonical establishment as a parish.  How young we have become!

One of the most important ways of maintaining our "youthfulness" and continuing the vibrancy of our parish community is to have accurate records about our parishioners.  We have grown and changed over these past fifty years.  While many of our parishioners have been with us over these years, others have moved away, while new parishioners have joined us.

We need to take a fresh look at ourselves to more accurately know who our parishioners are; recognize our needs, evaluate our trends, and to plan with the Staff and Parish Advisory Board, the future life of our parish community.  This is what the Parish Census is all about.

We are mailing the enclosed 2011 Parish Census Form to every family / individual currently registered at Our Lady of the Valley Parish.  We ask that each family / individual please complete the Census Form and return it in the enclosed envelope to the Parish Center by June 22, 2011.  You may mail it, drop it off at the Parish Center, put it in one of the boxes we are providing at the doors of the church or go on-line at our parish website (http://www.olvwayne.org/parishcensus).  (Please note that all information will be kept strictly confidential and will not be made available to any outside source.)

If you know of any family / individual that has not received a new 2011 Census Form and would like to be registered as a member of our parish family, please let us know.

We need everyone to please fill out the new 2011 Census Form - even if you are a long time parishioner!

If you have any questions or need assistance, please call Barbara Boyle at the Parish Center (973-694-4585 extension 7200).

Thank you for your continued presence, prayerfulness and support.  May God bless the Parish Family of Our Lady of the Valley.

Prayerfully yours,
